We're Matt and Sabrina Pursley. We met back in college at Lenior-Rhyne University in Hickory. NC. Matt was a goofball and Sabrina had the tendency to take life too seriously...everyone could see we'd end up together, but it took Sabrina a little longer to see it! We finally started dating late in our sophomore year, and then just three weeks after graduation in 2012 we tied the knot and started our life together. Both of us had plans to continue schooling after college. Matt was headed to Physical Therapy school and Sabrina was applying to schools to eventually become a Behavioral Analysis. As we were applying to schools we felt a tug at our hearts and knew God was leading us in a different direction. Shortly after we got married we joined staff with Cru (click here to read more about Cru). The adventure didn't stop there! Once we joined staff we weren't sure where we would be placed, and we were open to going anywhere. We were presented with New York City. As we prayed our hearts grew more and more for this city so we decided to take a trip up there and see if this was really where God was leading. After one week there we said, "We're in!" In August 2013 we packed up what little we owned and headed north! Since moving we've added two little girls to our family, Hazel Louise born May 2015 and Eleanor Fay born December 2016. Our family lives in Manhattan with our little dog, Ginsberg. People like to ask what our favorite thing to do in the City is. We're always a little lost for words...there's so many things we love about the City! We love to take walks in Central Park, try out different foods, and hang out with our friends. Many people say they couldn't be around THAT many people all the time, but we have a different take on it. We know that people are created in God's image and in NYC we pass hundreds or thousands of people each day. We pray we'll never take for granted that we're surrounded by so many image bearers. We're grateful for the story God has written for us. He is good and faithful and we're so humbled by his great love for us.
